MINISTER’S SUICIDE
A JAPANESE SENSATION. ’ (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) TOKIO, November 28. Japan is astounded at the receipt of news by radio that Saburi, the Japanese Minister to China, committed suicide with a revolver at Moyanoshita, on the anniversary of the death of his wife. \ . Saburi two months , ago was appointed Minister to China, where he became unpopular on account of a speech which the Chinese considered derogatory. He was visiting Japan to report on Chinese affairs. He had a distinguished career, including Councillorships at - Paris and Washington. The • reasons for his suicide are unknown. /' MINISTER RESIGNS. (Recd/ Nov. 30, 11 a.m.) TOKIO, November 29. The resignation of Kobashi, Minister of Education, has been accepted by the Cabinet. Kobashi was allegedly involved in the railway graft scandal.
