MAN-KILLING PANTHER
OFFICER SHOOTS TERROR. (By Gable—Press Assn.— Copyright.) (Received November 29, 8 a.m.) DELHI, November 28. A man-eating panther, with over a hundred kills to its account, in the Central Provinces, at length has been killed, Lieutenant Goodchild, of the 16th Punjab Regiment being successful. The Government had offered a big reward. ' Goodchild had a narrow escape, the panther dislodging the pole supporting the machan. Goodchild, with great presence of mind, whipped out a revolver and fired twice.
