WALL STREET NORMAL
QUIET TIMES PREDICTED. (By Cable—Press Assn.—Copyright.) (Received November 9, 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 8. The stock market became more like its normal self, there being no wild gyrations of prices or trading. The market opened higher, then receded slightly, so that' the majority of shares had a quiet day'at about yesterday’s closing averages, with a few notable exceptions, like General Electric, which were down ten points at the close of the trading. The volume was much decreased compared with the other short sessions. Brokers expressed satisfaction at the more stable behaviour, some predicting a series of quiet markets, with narrow price movements.
