THE LEAGUE’S TOTALS.

GENEVA, October 24. The League of Nations statistics give the world’s inhabitants at present as 1950 millions. They are distributed as follow :—Australasia nine millions, Europe 520 ' millions, Asia 1036 millions, America 235 millions, Africa 150 millions. The greatest absolute population is in Asia. The greatest relative growth is in Australasia, where the rate, since 1915, has been 15 per cent.
