(Our Own Correspondent). The annual meeting of the Te Kinga Cricket Club was held on Thursday last. The following officers were elected for the coming season:— -I acron: Mr R. Carey (Christchurch); President: Mr. J. A. Dowell; Vice ? resl . d '. ents: Messrs. A. Robinson, W. Boucli-i er, W. Bagly, P. Ryder, F. Boustndge, J. Morrissey and H. D. James, Captain: Mr. D. O’Callaghan; Vice Captain: Mr. E. S. Herring; Secretary: T. Coles; Selection Committee: Captain, Vice Captain and Secretary. Mr. A. Robinson’s offer of a playing ground was accepted with thanks. Mr. Chambers proposed that a bat be given to the most improved junior player for the coming season. Seconded by Mr. O’Callaghan and carried. The Secretary reported that he had written to Kokiri, Kotuku, MoanaRuru, Rotomanu and Wallis Siding, as to the possibility of starting a competition for the following season. —Approved. .

Mr. J. A. Dowell’s offer of a shield for the competition was accepted with thanks.

It was decided to hold a dance the first available Saturday in September. The following dance committee were formed: —F. De Lore, P. J. Robinson, D. O’Callaghan, R. Beans and T. Coles.
