CHAMPIONSHIPS TO-NIGHT
The Town Hall was a busy scene this morning, preparations being in full swing for the NeAV Zealand ama " teur boxing championships, which avill commence this evening. New canvas was being put down on the stage, amt the ring was being roped, Ayhile a gang of carpenters Avere erecting special seating accommodation on the stage. i The three rooms under the stage have , been painted, and will be available i for dressing purposes, as avill tAVO other rooms on the floor level. Members of the various teams have I completed their training, and . medi leal examinations and weighing-in are being attended to this afternoon. Doors are to be opened at the Town Hall at 6.30 p.m., and the first bout is timed to start at 7 p.m. This evening’s programme comprises twentytwo contests, and should provide ample entertainment for the full house expected by the Greymouth Boxing Association.
