ALEXANDER-—FOWLER. A pretty evening wedding was solemnised at St. John’s Presbyterian Church yesterday, when Elizabeth Alexander, niece of Mr and Mrs RColquh.oiin, of Blackball, was married to Murray, eldest son of Mr and the late Mrs J. Fowler, of Christh church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. T. N. Cuttle. Miss Drake presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by Mr C. Rose, wore a dainty frock of blush pipk satin and tulle with uneven hemline, a becomingly arranged veil to tone, and carried a Victorian posy of rosebuds. The bridesmaid, Miss Lorna Kennedy, wore a charming frock of sunset taffeta and tulle with uneyen hemline. Mr Thomas Crankshaw was best man. A reception was held at the home of Mr and Mrs A. >W. Mackley, Shakespeare. Street. Mrs Colquhoun, who wore a frock of figured georgette, received: the guests.

The wedding took place to-day at 1.30 at St. Stephen’s Church, of Mr William Harold, son of Mr and Mrs Montgomery Perkins, of Mimihau, : Otago, to Elsie Emily, daughter of Mrs and the late W. H. Saunders, of Black's Point, in the presence of a large assemblage of friends of both bride and bridegroom. The Rev. H. O. Brickland performed the ceremony. The bride was attired in a shell pink celanese satin frock, sleeveless, semifitting bodice, skirt of uneven hem line, court train satin lined with pink georgette, finished at the shoulders with sprays of pink orange blossom, the train trimmed with silver lace and diamante pink, and silver shoes, shell pink embroidered veil, coronet of orange blossom and shower bouquet to tone. The bridesmaid, Miss Sylvie Dobson, wore an amber crepe merve satin trimmed with chenille, georgette bodice, embossed flowers on a skirt of uneven hem line, sleeveless semifitting bodice and black satin court shoes, headdress of tulle arranged fan like, tinted flowers and leaves to tone, and carried a bouquet of autumn tinted flowers and streamers. Little Melva McHenry was train bearer, in a pale* blue crepe de chine sleeveless frock, with niched skirt and bodice trimmed with, rosebud trimming, wreath of rosebuds on her head, and shoes to match. The bride was given away by her eldei’ brother, Mr W. B. Saunders, and the best man was Mr Alfred Saunders. At the conclusion of the ceremony the party motored to. the bride’s mother’s residence at Black’s Point, where the wedding breakfast was partaken, of. The newly-married couple left by the afternoon train en route for the North Island, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride travelling in a jumper suit bf cherry chenille and grey shoes and stockings and liaf to match, wearing a fur and navy coat trimmed with fur.
