Daniels (Libera]) ... ... 7,255 G. G. Desmond (Labour) ... 6,359 TWO GOVT. LOSSES. (Recd. March 23, 10 a.m.) LONDON, March 22. Owing to Mr Dean’s (Conservative) death, a by-election was held at Holland (Lincolnshire), resulting : — Blundell (Liberal) 13,000 White (Labour) ... 9,294 Vahderberg (Conservative) ... 8,257 Dennis (Independent) 3,541 This is a Liberal gain. The North Lanark by-election (owing to Colonel Sprot’s death) resulted : Miss Jennis Lee (Laborlr) ... 15,,711 Lord Scone (Conservative) ... 9,133 Miss Mitchell (Liberal) ... 2,485 A Labour gain. Miss Mitchell forfeits her deposit.
