■ — —— ' (Our Own Correapondent.) At the meeting of the Public Tennis Club*, a vote of thanks was passed to Mr H. A. Ord for auditing the accounts. Mr George Briggs was a visitor during the vjeek-end. He is much improved in health. Mr and Mrs Greengrass have arrived and taken up their residence here.
Air Greengrass has been appointed engineer to the Blackwater Mines Ltd. Ou Saturday tlie drawing tortk place of the handsome oil painting raffled by tlie Waiuta Football Club (by permission of the Alinister of Internal Affairs). The winner was Mrs E. Roo (Mawheraiti). ft almost appears that the long wet spell has broken. In fourteen consecutive days, 1011 points of rain have fallen.
