ENGLISH NIGHTINGALES
HEARD NEAR WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, May 30.
Mr J. J. Reich, of Belmont, reports that between 10 and 10.30 this morning, he heard nightingales singing at Pangbourne village, a few miles from Reading, England. He was listening to a broadcast of 55W, British Broadcasting Company’s short wave station. The birds’ song, though not loud, was perfectly clear and audible from the loud speaker.
