WOODVILLE J.C. (Per Press Association.) WOODVILLE, February 24. The Woodville Autumn meeting opened in glorious .weather, with a large attendance. The track was splendid. The to.talisator registered £13,170 against £13,394 for the corresponding day last year, a decrease of £224. Following were the remaining results: — Woodville Qup. —5 David Garrick (B. H. There was a great race between David Garrick and Oratrix. The third horse was well back. Mrs W. H. Gaisford presented the gold cup to W. D. Moroney, Mr C. Elgar’s trainer. County Handicap.—7 . Meeting on Monday will, be declared at 9.15 to-night. The acceptances will close at 10.30 p.m. To-day’s and Monday’s trotting should throw a light on to the prospects for the New Brighten T.C. Meeting oh March 15 and 17, for which the nominations closed yesterday.
