WELLINGTON, November 26. The House of Representatives met this morning for the second reading of the Insurance Companies Deposits Amendment Bill, which proposes to nfake Lloyds deposit £20,0000 to transact business in New Zealand. The debate was adjourned till Monday. Before the House adjourned at 1 5 p.m., Mr Coates informed the Leader of the Opposition that the only Bills to come down would be the Finance Bill and Appropriation Bill. Requests for Bills had piled up in the last few weeks, but they would have to stand down. All the business to be transacted w’as in front of members now. He would like to take the Supplementary Estimates on Monday.
