GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
A. G. SIME DEFEATED (Per ProsH Association.) . HAMILTON, Sept. 9. The final of the professional golf championship was decided to-day when the holder J. D. Mclntosh, Masterton, beat R. C. Butters, of Wellington, 5 up and 4 to play. It was sound golf, but the winner was too brilliant. In the semi-finals of the amateur division the results were: Sloani Morpeth (Auckland) beat A. G. Sime of Westport 2 up and 1 to play. T. H. Horton, of Masterton, accounted for Norrie Bell, of Hamilton, 3 and 2. 1 The final of the amateur championship between Morpeth and Horton will be played over 36 holes to-morrow (Saturday).
