SHIPPING NOTES. The Kaiapoi has loaded coal and timber for Wellington and Miramar, and sails tonight. The Karori has loaded coal and timber for Auckland, completing at Westport, and sails to-night. The Parera leaves Wellington on Saturday for Greymouth to load coal for Napier and Gisborne. The Kaimai leaves Wellington, via New Plymouth for Greymouth, tomorrow. She loads coal and timber for Wellington and Miramar. The Kaponga is due on Saturday from Wellington. She will load timber for Sydney. The Gabriella is loading a full cargo of timber for Melbourne and Sydney, and is scheduled to sail to-night. The Kittawa arrived from Auckland yesterday. She will load coal, timber and general cargo for Wellington. The Titoki sailed last night for Dargaville with a full load of coal. The Alexander is due to-night from Wellington, via Nelson and. Westport, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Wanganui. The Orepuki is due on Tuesday to load coal for Tarakohe. Mr. W. J. Madden, late third officer of the Kamo, has been appointed third officer of the Oonah, at Melbourne, relieving Mr. A. L. Brierley, who is transferring to the Kekerangu as third officer. Mr. R. Duffner is being granted holiday leave. The Kahika was recommissioned at Wellington last week, in command of Captain G. D. Fraser, whose deck officers are: Chief, Mr. T. P. Evans; second, Mr. L. Sinclair; third, Mr. J. B. Hitchman.
