HOKITIKA NOTES
(Our Own Correspondent.) HOKITIKA, June 13. The. inclement weather on Saturday precluded any attempts at football matches. Some concern was felt for two men —Messrs D. Agnew and, Mills (senr.) —who went out into the bush at Upper Humphreys on Friday last to muster cattle. As they did not return on Friday night a search party left early on Saturday morning and the men were found. They had lost their way. and spent the night in the bush. The men were none the worse. Mr. A. H. Lawn, who has been in Wellington fpr some pionths undergoing medical treatment, returned on Sal tn day night. He has greatly improved in health. Advice has been received that the Rev. J. Perkins, who was seriously ill in the Dunedin Hospital, has much improved. He will however, be unable to take charge of the Hokitika parish again.
