Mr J. M. Bunt left this morning for Christchurch and Oamaru.

Miss T. Greaney left to-day for Wellington for her term holidays.

Miss M. Graham, who has been visiting the Misses Kerr, Tainui Street, returned to Christchurch to-day.

The death is announced of Mr David M. Dingwall a well-known Auckland resident, who was born there 81 years ago.

Inspector Rawle, formerly stationed at Greymouth, who has been visiting the West Coast, returned to-day to Wellington.

Dr. T. Fletcher Telford, Medical Officer of Health, Canterbury and West Coast Health Districts will arrive today on Departmental business.

Misses* Mary Phelan and M. Bignell left this morning for Christchurch, where their term holidays will be spent.

Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, will visit the West Coast this month for the purpose of officially opening the Waiho Bridge, Franz Josef Glacier.

Mr A. M. Mowlem, S.M., has been appointed to succeed Mr R. W. Dyer, S.M., retiring on superannuation, as the Magistrate for Napier and Central Hawke’s Bay.—Press Association.

Mr Charles Williams, Foreman of Works for the Railway Department at Christchurch, who has been visiting Greymouth, where he was formerly located, returned this morning to Christchurch.

Mr Frank Gleeson, who has been an inmate of the Grey Hospital, following on injuries received in the Blackball mine some time ago, left this morning for Christchurch where he will enter the hospital for treatment. He was accompanied as far as Arthur’s Pass by Sister Malcolm of the Grey Hospital staff.

The wedding was celebrated in the Methodist Church, Millerton, on Wednesday evening of Miss Dora Evelyn Johnston late of Sunderland, England, to Austin James Coom, of Greymouth. The church was tastefully decorated with golden shaded chrysanthemums. The bride who entered the church on her brother’s arm was tastefully dressed in a petunia crepe-de-chene dress with lace trimmings, and wore a small close-fitting hat of the same shade. She carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums and asparagus fern tied with long streamers of white satin ribbon. The Matron of Honour, Mrs F. M. Johnston attended her sister-in-law and was becomingly attired in lavender and apricot shaded moracain and a small hat to match. She also carried a sheaf of white chrysanthemums-with white satin streamers. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Sam Johnston. Rev. G. Marr conducted the ceremony and Mr Arthur Prosser officiated at the organ. The honeymoon is being spent at Christchurch.
