PLUNKfef SOUIETt At the monthly meeting.of itlb Plunket Society, there. were present Mesdames O’Brien, Aldei’tbti, HdrVey, Barrett, Denton, Miss Andersb’ri rind Nurse Spring. Airs. O’Brieri rifris appointed to the chair. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Carr, McLeiin, Garde, Seddon, Wilde, Bell/ Smyth, Schaef, Leahy and Black. Airs. A. H. Turner wrote forwarding her resignation from the committee which was accepted with, regret. 'the Secretary of the. Central Council wrote forwarding chbqtie for £72 18/4, Government subsidy for halfyear ended 31st March; also refund of Railway fares amounting to £(f 11/10. A cheque fbr £l3 (ariiiurii quota) was received from th 6 Hokitikh sub-branch.

A donation of £l/4/9 was received from Brother TarciSius, the balance of a collection taken at the lecture given by Air. Tayler at St. Columba Hall. It was decided that a letter of thanks be sent to Brother Tarcisius.

It was resolved that a. letter of tha'nks be sent to Airs. D. McAuley for her assistance to the Branch in arranging the conceit held on Alarch 29, by which the sum of £lB/17/- iiett was raised. It wais also decided that a letter of thanks be sent to the Bristol Piano Coy. for the use of a piano at the concert. It was arranged that the annual ball ifi aid of the funds be held bri IViay 19. Nurse Spring reported as follows: — Visits to hb'mes: New cases 24, old cases 164. Visits to office: Adults 143, babies 114. Outstations —Visits to homes: New cases 9, old cases 57. Visits to' office: Adults 13, bribies Duiing the month two visits wbre paid to Hokitika, two to Runanga, two to Dobson and one each to Reefton, Taylorville and Gladstone.
