Mr Page, S.M., gave his reserved judgment to-day in regard to a dispute respecting £79 claimed by a Watei’Sider Thomas Samuel Harvey, from his stepfather* Joseph Dooley. Thfe story was that the money was banltfetf for tfldintiff by Mrs Dooley over a period of two years, so that he could return to England, marry a girl in Liverpool, and set up a home. However, an affiliation order, by consent, was made against the plaintiff in respect of a Wellington girl. The money was transferred to the defendant when fears were entertained that the Wellington girl was going to proceed for breach of promise.
