lytteltoiN cup: Another match was played for the l Lyttelton Cup on the . Greymouth i Club’s green last evening, when I Leitch and Graham defeated the ■ holders, Kibble and Carey. The > winners led throughout and both playI ed excellent bowls. RUNANGA v. HOKfTIKA Four rinks representing the Hokitika Club will play a game for the ■ Reynolds Badge on the Runanga green on Saturday afternoon commencing at 2 o’clock. The green is in splendid order and playing well. It is interesting to watch the keenness of the players every evening in the different matches. The following will represent the Riinanga Club on Saturday next: — Unwin, Heslin, Munson, Leitch (s). Halliday, Warburton, Webb, Rae (s). Bowes, Cooke, . Brown, Armstrong (S). Swallow, Devine, Baddeley, Speakman (s). Any players not able to take part ,in the tournament is requested to notify the secretary, Mr. T. Bowes at once. Afternoon tea will be given to the visitors and friends during the afternoon. Players and members are asked to contribute a plate. The Mclntosh Badges and Rae Buttons have been the.means of creating a great deal of interest among the Runanga players. The following are the results of the different games that have beeu played:-— Mclntosh Badges—Bowes, Pender, Greening, Armstrong (s) 25, played Cooke, Murphy, Heslin, Rae (s) 17. Halliday, Warburton, Boote, Baddeley (s), played the holders, who - lost by : 18 to 17. Rac Buttons—Bowes and Munson : (s), challenged the holders, Heslin . and-Rae (s) and 'after a strenuous • game the score stood at 25—-17. Arm- : strong and Halliday then played the i holders, who won by 24 to 12.
