Queensland hd’d spprgd. 378 for the loss of eight wickets at the end of the day. Of this total ’O'Connor put on 191 runs, and he was still batting when stumps were drawn. R. Oxenham made 62 runs. The weather was fine and the ■vyipkeji was good. The visitors’ bowling did not prove troublesome, but their alert fielding saved many runs. O’Connor scored at a fast rate, but for a time after luncheon, the scoring slowed down. Then O’Connor collared the bowling again. He was seemingjy peyer troubled by it, and the Queensland total mounted rapidly.
