HANDEL’S “MESSIAH.”
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you kindly .allow me space in which to ask if among the many musical people in Greymouth, and district there may be: some who would enjoy the preparation and performance of Handel’s oratorio, “The Messiah.” This work, I believe, has not been given here, but 1 feel sure would be appreciated by true lovers of good music, so many of whom reside in this district. I would therefore suggest, that if’those ladies and gentlemen (both vocalists and instrumentalists) who are willing and able to assist in this matter, send their names and addresses to me I would arrange for a meeting at an early date to discuss the question, subject, of course, to. there being. sufficient support. Thanking you, sir, for the favour of publicity, I am, etc.,— u THOMAS F. SAVAGE. .. P.O. Box 3, Greymouth.
