KUMARA’S DOCTOR.

.•--(To the Editor)«': ?■ Sir—Would K you .please , /publish theSe few lines? Kumara really needsa doctor living amongst-us, but I hear that the medical committee are about to wind up the affairs for the past year, and that many of them don’t want to carry on the good work, as a. few people quibble about paying theannual fee of one pound. I wish to admire the work the committee have done to provide the town with a doctor/ particularly the secretary and chairman. They haye spared no pains to provide for- the sick and injured of. our town and district; .and if some of those who begrudge the pound, fee only had the sickness in their homes vjjiich others •< have had, they wduld be glad to payithe pound. I hope, sit, that the committee wilj. not lose heart, but will continue to try to raise the funds to keep a doctor among us. There are a lijt of work* ers here who cannot afford to pay big prices for medical attention, and the efforts of the committee are much appreciated by many people.—l am, yours etc., — /• PATIENT. Kumara, Nov. 29.
