STRIKE ENDED
MINERS RESUME WORK (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, Nov. 28. Work will be resumed in practically the entire coal-fields of Great Britain on Monday, with the exception of the South Wales, Yorkshire, and Durham fields. In the two named fields, ballots are now progressing on a recommendation that the coal owners’ terms be accepted. The South Wales- miners are expected to ballot in a day or two. Referring to the coal resumptions in a speech at South Yorkshire, Mr. Cook said that 'he refused to call it defeat. He said it was a retreat. They would set about the task of recovering the ground.
