LINER ON FIRE
THE AYRSHIRE DESTROYED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association). LONDON, November 28. The liner Ayrshire was completely destroyed in the Indian Ocean by fire. Her crew of one hundred were rescued by the steamers City of Nag pur and the Aeneas. The warship Lupin was left in attendance on the derelict. The fire originated in the bunkers, which were quickly red hot. The flames spread amidships, blazing fiercely upwards for one hundred and fifty feet.
