VISIT OF INSPECTION The committee, consisting Urs. J- P< Irvine. A\ itSbi’nson, J. Ryall, ahd W. Ogilvie and Mr. J. Higgins, COunty Engineer, appointed by the Grey County Council to inspect the roads in Payne’s Gully and Greenstone, being used by sawffiillerij, in. the locality, made their yesterday afternobh. Larsen and J. Reedy of the Kumara Timber Co., an arrangement was made to share equally in the maintenance of the road, each to employ their own roadmen. Lloyd Brdtnetk, one ei the roads giving access to. the tatm being partly submerged. The party inspected the Teremakau RiVdr which is making .serioys inroads into one. boundary Of Messrs Lloyds’ land. It was considered that the expenditure required to 'protect the property from the erosion would be greater than the property was worth. It was suggested that the removal of the residence would be a wise course.
