The bullet was deflected by an iron railing, and it went through the basement kitchen window. The professor rushed to the front door, and he saw a woman disappearing. He says that they have no enemies so far as they know. His wife heard firing in the Square during the night a week ago. The police insist upon protection being provided night and day.
