For twenty-four hours, the great er part of England has been enveloped in dense . fog, which it •is forecasted will continue to-morrow. Traffic throughout London has been complicated and tram, train and bus schedules are upset. Flares ap peared in most congested parts of London for the guidance of drivers. Six collisions, involving two trains and six trams, buses and private vehicles occurred. Several were injured. The worst instance was when two London-Essex trains collided and seventy.were slightly hurt. A vast army of torch carriers has been called into service to-night to aid the omnibuses.
