(ex-Uhancellor of the Exchequer), said that as the result of a speech he had made in the Highlands during the autumn, he had received a cheque for £30,000 from Mr Leybourne Davidson, a pioneer in the rubber industry, in order to promote emigration. A message from Toronto states that the Minister of Agriculture announced on Wednesday an agreement, with the Overseas Settlement Board by which three hundred British hoys would he brought to. Ontario, their passage being free, and settled upon farms within the next three months.
