WIDOW’S CLAIM
£5,600 FROM SAWMILLER. (fet Press Association.) NAPIER, March 4. ’ A claim for £5600 was commenced at the Supreme Court by Elcena Agnes Christie Dyett, of Manaia, Taranaki, widow, against Walter Manson, sawmiller, of Port Ahuriri. The claim set out that on July 20, 1924, defendant, knowing that he was suffering from a disorder, unlawfully assaulted and, by force, carnally knew plaintiff, communicating to her a disease from which he suffered. The statement of defence was a complete denial of all allegations, except an admission that illicit relationship bad occurred on the occasion, with the full consent of plaintiff.
