MONTEITH’S FOR BEER
In bulk or bottle, Monteith’s Brewery, Reefton, is recognised as the producer of the best beer on the Coast. For many years the brewery was carried on by Mr Monteith, and after the death was continued by his son, Mr William Monteith, who has worked up the business so that enlargements have been made to building and plant to cope with the growing trade. All lead, iii’g- hotels ’ throughout the district stock the beer, connoisseurs pronounccin’g it equal to Bass’s XXXX ale. No chemicals of any kind are used in the manufacture, and the beer is made from pure malt and hops. The brewery is'rioted for cleanliness and sweetness, and is one of the oldest established bte.weries on the Coast. The bottling department alone, employs a number of" hands.
