An important conference of Anglican Churchmen took place yesterday at which Archbishop Averill, the Bishop of Waiapu, Archdeacon Chatterton, Rev. H. Williams and many clergy of both races attended. The conference was called to Consider Ratana’s religious movement and matters affecting, the Maoris spiritual life. The conference was held in camera, but the results will be published later.
