CATTLE-STEALER SENTENCED

?> At the. 1 Supreme .Court, James McKee, farmer, married, with two children, was found guilty of seven charges of cattle stealing and sentenced to two years’ hard labour.
His, Honour remarking on the seriousness of the crime, said that prisoner had been placed in a position of trust which had been abused. Farmers had a right to know that their stock would be .free from the depredations, of neighbours.
James Wilde, middle aged, was sentenced'to three, years’ hard labour for two attempts indecently to assault a boy.
