WANGANUI, September 10. The weather was fine for the final gallops this morning. Motley and Deluge separately did three-quarter pace work, the former moving well. Bam Owl finished in front of Winning Hit over sly furlongs, run in 1.18.
Inferno beat Shining Armour over five furlongs in 1.5. Enthusiasm took 1.7 to cover five .furlongs. . , Trapuka left five furlongs behind in 1.4 2-5.
L’Amour did a mile comfortably in 1.49 3 5.
Ruby Ring beat Brigadier Bill over five'furlongs in 1.4 1-5. Gaillard beat Avola over half a mile in the smart time of 49 2-ssecs. Black Cruiser beat Velociform over six furlongs in 1.18 2-5. Ilka beat Bank Draft over three furlongs in 38secs. # Comical finished in front of Diamond Ring over b,alf a mile, run in 50 2-5 secs.
