Griffiths, secretary of the New Zealand India League, left for Christchurch to-day.: Mr D. Stapp left for Christchurch this morning. He will return on Tuesday. Mrs J. Mclndoc left by the express to-day on a holiday visit to the North Island. ( Mr r J. Roberts, Post and Telegraph Department, Napier, left by this morning’s express. ,

chestral Society’s concert on Tuesday evening. ■' 'At the residence of Mr and Mrs T." Brebner, Cowper Street, last evening, ' a farewell party was given to Miss Dot Brebner, whose marriage is shortly to/ take place. A large number of guests were present, and music dancing and competition games were indulged in, some of these latter causing much hilarity. Laughter and merriment were the order of the evening. At the close all joined in the singing of Auld Lang Syne, and three hearty cheers .were given for Mr and Mrs' Brebner, the host and hostess, and congratulations and good wishes were extended to Miss Dot Brebner by her many friends.
