WEDDING
GIBBONS—ROBINSON. At All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, on Monday, Juno 5, the wedding was solemnised by the Rev. H. G. Blackburne of Miss Edith Robinson, of 31 Gay Street, to Mr. D. R. Gibbons, of Greymouth. The bridegroom has been associated with the Boy Scout movement on the Coast for many years, and was recently decorated with the Scouts’ long service medal
by the Governor-General, Viscount Jellicoe, and commended for his valuable services. The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a dress of bridal satin, and carried a bouquet of chrysanthemums and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaid was Miss Curtis. Her pretty frock was of heliotrope and lemon cre.pe-de-chine. She wore a black picture hat, and carried a bouquet of violets. Mr. Lionel Hicks, of Hawera, was best man. Later a reception was held at the house of the bride’s parents. A number of friends were further entertained in the evening with music and dancing, The honeymoon is being spent in Auckland.
