COMPANY’S APPLICATION,
TO BE OPPOSED. In regard to the flotation of the Great Western Timber Co. which jwas formed to exploit a large area of bush in the iGkarito district and concerning which a great amount of' controversy has been raised it is understood that the company’s application for the protection of the areas which it is intended to work, is to be opposed by the Crown, on the ground that the company has not complied with certain provisions of the Mining Act.
