The appointment of officers resulted as folio aa-s :—Secretary, J. Noble; treasurer, J. B. Discaciati; steAvards, JV Fielding-, A. Brooks,, McDonald, Locking-ton, Thomas, Pascoe, Discaciati, Hawken, Byrne; prog-ramme committee : President, Vice-President, Messrs Discaciati, Locking-ton, Kearns and the Secretary; Judge, Air W. Henderson ; clerk of scales, J. Pascoe; clerk of course, N. Collins; starter, E. F. Locking-ton; assistant starter, J. Thomas; ground committee, President, Vice-President, Messrs Discaciati, Rhodes and Kearns; auditor, T. H. Lee- The appointment of timekeeper Avas held over. A letter from Air E. O. AVilliams, avlio had removed to Christchurch, stated his intention of resigning from the club. A letter from the Secretary of the New Zealand Trotting Association was read re the. correct timing of horses, also informing the club that starting clocks must be certified to as correct on the morning of each race day, and that horses requiring registration must be inspected by the official signing the registration form. It was resolved that the President and Vice-President he supplied with a list of nnfinancial members, and that These be waited upon and the position of the club placed before them. It was decided to bold the monthly meetings of committee on the second Wednesday in each month, and that 18 copies of the new trotting rules he purchased. The halauc-sheet of the recent social showed a credit balance of £1 2s Td. The Secretary aams instructed to conA’ey the thanks of the club to the ladies who conducted the function so successfully. Two ncAv members were proposed and accounts were passed for payment. The meeting then adjourned.
