HELPING-HAND SHOP.
• To-morrow the shop will he open, and. the residents* of Karoro, Tainui Street, from town belt to Murray Street, The Terrace, and vicinities of the Railway and Alexander Street are asked to contribute. These calls on the different localities, only come once a. month, so a, good collection cf edibles, vegetables, etc., is expected from the good folk whose turn it is this week. Besides the gifts there will be on sale a lino supply of vegetables and other goods. Don’t fail to visit the shop to-morrow. There will he something needful for all, and then one cannot forget. that the nimble shilling- spent goes towards the comforts of those who are at present right in the midst of the thunder of the guns, staving off the thrusts of the dreadful Hun. Let there be a record rally this week : a little gift will not he missed from the household.
Mesdames Wiokes, Lynch and Miss McLean will be in charge.
