SELL’S CIRCUS.

RUNANGA TO-NIGHT.

Sell’s Circus tent was packed to suffocation last night when this clever combination gave an interesting and thrilling exhibition. Two local riders met with defeat by “Trixie” and “Queensland,” two noted buckjumpers. Seven or eight boys made attempts to keep their positions on the back of the bucking pony “Dot,” one of whom was awarded a trophy valued at £1 Is on being judged the best rider among the local competitors. The circus is one of the best of its kind that has visited Greymouth. The feats of the elastic man, Pearce are well worth the price of admission. “Dying to Save the Colours,” a battlefield scene, representing a wounded soldier being carried, home by his horse, is a. remarkable piece of horse training. The clown Jackies is the life of the show in lighter vein with his jokes and his songs. Performing dogs, monkeys kittens, etc. _ are by no means the least attraction on a lengthy programme, the kitten especially accomplishing a remarkable feat as a parachutist in that it descends from tho top of the tent to the middle of , the ring. Sell’s Circus shows at Runanga to-night, Kumara on Monday, and at Hokitika on Tuesday.
