INTERESTING, COMPETITION. The annual inspection of the unit divisions of the St. John Ambulance Brigade Overseas, com rising the Ruu•anga and Brunner divisions, will take place on Victoria. Park on Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock. Four teams of the above divisions will submit themselves for examination in the treatment required in first-aid to the injured. The work will be set in problem form, being six in number. A trophy, donated by Messrs Sliarland and Co., Wellington, will be presented to the most efficient division. It may also be mentioned that these members have given a good account of themselves whenever their services have been required in the treatment to the injured in the coal mining centres of this district. The members have been training hard for the competition during the last three months, therefore persons having an interest in this work, should they attend the inspection, will witness a good display of ambulance work i.u all its stages. Hie inspection will be conducted by Dr. Usher, assisted by Mr. T. West, acting corps superintendent of the St. John Brigade Overseas. Should the weather be unfavourable the inspection will be held in the St. Columbia Hall.
