The sorrowing relatives have ti«- sympathy vt the community in their sad loss. Mrs. Anastatia Poschich died last evening at. the residence of her -daughter, Mrs. A. Hill, Barrytown, after a brief illness. The. deceased was one of the earliest settlers on the West Coast and had ..resided in these parts for over 50 years, her husband having predeceased her by about four years. She was born in Tippeiary (Ireland) and was in her 76th year. ■ The deceased was a young woman when she landed in x Australia, subsequently coming to New Zealand and residing for a time at Hokitika, thence to Barrytown where she first settled forty years, ago. She was well-known and highly esteemed by all who knew tier and her many friends will regret to hear of her death. Four sons and a daughter are left to mourn her loss; the sons are Messrs Anthony, John, Raymond and Thomas, all of Barrytown. The funeral takes'place cm Friday afternoon ,at Barrytown, . ....
