MAINTENANCE ORDER
An application to vary a maintenance order from 7s 6d to 10s per week, the defendant being a resident of "Ngaherc, was refused. Mr. Joyce appeared on behalf of the defendant. PROHIBITION ORDER. On the application of the police a prohibition order was issued against a resident of South Beach. ASSAULT. J. Dodgers, fireman aboard the Kaituna, pleaded guilty to having assaulted Mea Saufre (second cook) this morning in the ship's galley, allegedly because he (Roclgers) could not get hot water. The accused, who admitted he lost his temper and said the complainant gave him abuse, was lined 40s, in default two weeks' imprisonment.
