MONY TO-NIGHT
A splendid evening’s entertainment is provided for patrons at the Opera House this evening, when, in addition to a display of all new pictures, the very successful"’ceremony of crowning Westland s Queen will be repeated for the last time in Grcymouth. This magnificent stage picture'was the theme of general admiration when given here some two or three weeks ago, and Hie entire ceremony will be repeated this evening. Independent of the gorgeous procession, crowning and reception stage settings, an artistic Court entertainment will be held, consisting of minuets, glees, and songs. The bevy of hri-rht- children, headed by their May Queen, will be seen in Maypole and country dances. These children, in striking colored dresses, formed not the least attraction on the last display, and are alone worthy of a visit. The first part will consist of Pollard’s all new display of pictures, including such sterling as “The Plot at the R.R. Cut,” “Topical Budget,” “Jonhs and the Janitor,” “A Scenic Study of Feilding, ’ and the Keystone comedy “Hogan Out West.’ Urn prices will be 2s and Is. children haltprice. The orchestra will play the music incidental to the picture and coronation displays. The Battalion Band will perform outside the Opera House. MINERS’ HALL, RUNANGA. A great Vitagraph comedy featuring tlm late John Bunny will be one of the star features in the new programme oi Pollard’s Pictures to -be screened at the above hall to-morrow night. It is entitled “The Adventures of Miss Tomboy,” and the bi<r comedian, assisted by Lilian Walker and Wallic Van. causes a volcano of la lighter. A Kalom drama, “The Chief -f Police.” a new “Pathe Gazette,” and a wonderful film showing “A New \ ork Police Carnival,” will also be screened. In addition to the above Mr Pollard will present the second instalment of the remarkable. sensational serial davam, “The Trev o’ Hearts.” This week’s episode is entitled “White Water.” It shows Alan n ]one in the woods, lacking fond and oonipment, and the weird adventures he goes through border on the marvellous.
