• • MELBOURNE, This Day. At the conference of evangelical clergy of Victoria, the Rev. Mr Baker urged that they should do their utmost to christianise the labour movement. The morality in the past had been too individualistic. They should study the mind of the working man to a larger extent, and get away from the bloodless intelleetualism governing the world. - The labour movement, which .was a business enterprise, must be christianised, otherwise the very existence of the church would bo threatened.
