ROME, April 11
The Italians hoodwinked the Turks by means of a feint near Enzuim. Under cover of the battleships they shelled large bodies of Turks preparing to resist the supposed landing. Meanwhile the others battleships ejeort oil a large convoy of transports elsewhere on the Libyan Coast and disembarked them.
BRITISH POSITION IN EGYPT. LONDON, April 11. The Times declares that the British army ijn Egypt is dangerously low especially in view of the possibilities of the Turko-Italian war.
It suggests that when troops are withdrawn from South Africa they should be sent to Egypt which is an incomparable training ground—healthy and inexpensive.
