QUARTERLY MEETING

Tho fifteenth quarterly meeting was ■eld in the Miners’ Hall, Runanga, yeserday. Mr J. Glover, President, was in he, chair. The President, in reporting on the quarter's business, congratulated the members on the substantial increase of trade during the quarter, amounting to 8463 4s 3d over last onarter; the members’ share capital showed a slight increase also, being £2140 Is fid against 62126 5s fid for last quarter. The amount )f profit was £538 14s sd, which allowed a members’ dividend of 2/6 in the 6, 1/3 in the £ to non-members, carrying 037 to the reserve fund. He also wished to congratulate the manager on the offident manner he had conducted the business. Commenting on the progress cooperation had made in the older countries, where their accumulated assets reached the large amount of sixty and a-half millions, he only wished it was making better progress in New Zealand. As thi’ee members of the committee, Messrs J. Noble, A. Smith and T. Price retired this quarter, nominations were received for their respective places, viz., Messrs J. Noble, A. Smith and H.
