Kensington LS.O. Under-Secretary of Lands) Mr J. Strauchon (Surveyor-General) and Colonel Tyson left Wellington this evening by the southern boat for Christchurch. A number of sites have been advocated in the South Island and the Commissioners will have a little more trouble to decide the matter there than will be experienced in the other Island. .Its report is not expected for several weeks.
