KUMARA WATER RACE. In connection with the Kumara water race extension, (he tender for the ditchinn; contract of P. Power, of Greymouth, at £l3Bl has been accepted by the Government, the unsuccessful tenderers being as follows Bohan and party (Grayjnouthl .. £2IOB Drake and Mordaunt (Greymouth) 1994 F. J. Cailey (Hokitika.) .. .. 1799 J. Gilbert and party (Kumara) 1794 W. H. Evcndcn (Kumara) .. 1707 Kean and Skinner (Kumara) .. 1615 H. Morgan (Kumara) .. 1512 M. Giffney and party (Kumara) 1439 BIG WANGANUI BRIDGE. As the contract for the Big Wanganui bridge has not yet been signed the name of the successful tenderer is not available, but it is understood that that of Maurice O’Connor and J. O’Donnell has , been accepted.
