THE IMPERIAL CONFERENCE
AN IMPORTANT PROPOSAL. [per press association—copyright.] LONDON, March 17. Tlie Agents-General unanimously resolved to suggest to their Premier* that the States should advance their claim for representation on the Imperial Conference, with the view of tho recognition of constitutional rights ' by the admission of the State Premiers, or their nominees, to the 1911 conference, so that the States ftjay be represented in tho discussion' of such questions as the appointment of ,t State Governor, immigration and other matters upon which the Common-j wealth representatives have no right to speak for their States.
The general opinion prevails that tho present time is favourable for again advancing the claim in view of the harmonious relations existing between the States and the Commonwealth Government. ,
