WEDDING AT GLOBE HILL

Aii interesting 'marriage was celebrated at Globe Hill on Thursday July 9th, when Mr E. H. Beckhurst, of Bnllarat, Victoria, was united in the bonds of matrimony to Miss Jane Durham eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Durham late of Ballarat. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. D. Calder B.A. at the residence of the- brides parents. The bride looked exceedingly well i» a very pretty costume of blue silk voile with creme trimmings and carried a handsome shower bouquet the gift of her sister, Mrs W. Bechhurst, and was attended by her sister and Mrs E. Preston. At the conclusion of the ceremony 'lie wedding party were entertained at a sumptuous wedding breakfast when the usual toasts were duly honoured. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr R. Durham, Mr W. Beckhurst making an excellent*groomsman. The bride and bridegroo;n left by the evening train for Hokitika where the honeymoon will be spent. The young couple were the recipients of a large number of wedding gifts and carry with them the good wishes of a large number of friends. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a pair of gold links and the grooms to the bride a gold and greenstone brooch. The wedding cake which was generally admired was the work of Mr. "V, Mori of Eeefton.
